Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennsion

This is my favourite comedic book series! The book is set out in the format of a diary, belonging to Georgia Nicolson. She lives the life of an average 14 year old girl, she loves hanging out with her friends and hates all her teachers. Her diary shows her and her friends, Jas, Mabs, Jools and Ellen's, struggle to get through everyday life. However, with crazy parents and an equally crazy cat, its not going to be easy. To make matters worse, two gorgeous boys have moved to their town and Jas and Georgia instantly fall in love with them. But the course of true love never did run smooth!

Georgia is one of the funniest and easy to relate to characters I have ever read about. She brings to light the crazy problems which many girls have to deal with, but never talk about. Such as, trying to stop her parents kissing in the house, as she says "you're in your twilight years". Louise Rennison captures the voice of the youth perfectly while showing the horrendous task of growing up. There are a total of 10 books in the series, but they are super easy to find at places like charity shops because they are a few years old. You can also buy them in any teen fiction section or on a Kindle. There was a movie made based on the first two books in the series called Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. It was, and remains to be, very popular. However, be warned, the plot may be similar to the books but it doesn't fully match up. I would recommend reading the series before the movie, as I did :).
