This is another one of those books which you don't know how you came to own it, but you are extremely glad you do. Scarlet and Rosie Marsh have fought Fenris, or werewolves, their whole lives. After their grandmother is killed by one, they pledge to never allow this to happen to anyone else. Fenris only prey on young girls and so Scarlet and Rosie are the perfect bait to lure them in. However, the number of Fenris in their town is dwindling but business it booming in some of the bigger towns. Along with a friend whose family also hunt the Fenris, they move to stop the werewolves on an even bigger scale. They soon realise the growing numbers and organisation of the wolves in the big cities is no coincidence and become part of something bigger than they could have ever imagined.
This is a classic book about girl power and the responsibilities to have to take on as an adult, and the ones you don't. There is a large plot twist at the end which I never saw coming, in fact there were quite a few! The two characters of Rosie and Scarlet are so different but the author managed to persuade me to identify with both, which is quite a challenge. Be careful, if you start this book you may not be able to stop until the very end.
